This company aims to deliver Structural Engineering services to mainly the Residential market in the creation of modern contemporary building structures to compliment the growing demand for owners to develop greater useable space in existing properties or develop completely new build structures. There are a multitude of emerging Architectural practices that have and are attempting to break out of the traditional mould of thinking behind our living spaces using a multitude of diverse materials and construction techniques. We aim to compliment these ideas with innovative structural designs of the highest standard to meet the demand of these forward thinking Architectural practices.   

 

There are a growing number of clients that are no longer willing to settle for uninspiring developer built homes which have been based on a pastiche of previous styles and owners that just want something efficient and cost effective. Higher priorities are now given to sustainable developments and environmental considerations and this company’s main aim is to help achieve this.  The company provides a personal service to all clients however small the project may be in order to provide a structural package for Building Control approvals or just to provide information for a builder to carry out small alterations we are committed to deal with any issues promptly that may arise. 

We provide defect & structural survey reports for residential properties often combined with alteration work, refurbishments of any size and extensive knowledge in conservation of historic grade listed buildings.

There is always a close dialogue with builders to establish the preferred scheme options and building materials proposed with construction sequence to give advice where necessary in order to achieve a valued engineering solution that is compliant with latest Building Regulation requirements .

The company is headed by Alan McVicar BSC(Hons)CENG MIStructE who has over 25 years experience in complete range of large & small projects.
